Interagency Early Intervention Committee (IEIC)
Albany – Melrose – Paynesville – Sauk Centre
Help Me Grow in Western Stearns and Southern Todd Counties is the Interagency Early Intervention Committee (IEIC) in this area designed to focus on the overall development of children, ages birth to age 6, and their families.
The purpose of this committee is to assist families, who have children with special needs, coordinate services from local agencies and provide the resources needed to address the concerns of their child. These local agencies include the following: Education, Public Health, Human Services, Head Start, Early Childhood Family Education, local physicians, and hospitals. The IEIC is composed of representatives from these agencies as well as parents.
Early identification of a child’s needs, appropriate resources provided to assist families, funding sources available to meet a family’s needs, and continuous improvement of early intervention services is the goal of the local IEIC.
